Current Issue

This Journal will provide an international forum for the publication of papers in the areas of fisheries and aquaculture sciences, technology, management and relevant socioeconomic, cultural and literary studies
related to fisheries and aquaculture. The scope covers fisheries and aquaculture in fresh, brackish and
saltwater systems, as well as all aspects of associated ecology, environment, husbandry, nutrition,
economics, pollution and cross-sectoral issues. Both theoretical and practical papers are acceptable,
including laboratory and field experimental studies relevant to fisheries and aquaculture. Papers on the
conservation of exploitable living resources are welcome. Review and viewpoint articles are also
published. As the specified areas inevitably impinge on and interrelate with each other, the approach of the Journal is multidisciplinary. Authors are encouraged to emphasise the relevance of their own work to that of other disciplines. The Journal is intended for fisheries, biological and
aquaculture scientists, technologists, economists, managers, administrators, policy makers, legislators
and any persons with research work, interests on and related to aquatic studies. Journal of the Association of Nigerian Fisheries Scientists (ANIFS) would publish peer-reviewed research articles, reviews and research notes.
